Will he won’t he… err, he won’t actually.

It seems that the Rocket Man won’t be landing in Tenerife any time soon.
Despite rumours to the contrary (who would spread such a thing?) Elton John won’t be performing in Santa Cruz in November.
A news feature on the star’s official website finally pours water on the glowing ember of a promise that the ‘Reef was in for some legendary piano rocking. Alas it ain’t so…
“Local media in Tenerife, Canary Islands, is insisting that Elton is to play a concert there on November 15, and we have received many messages asking if this is true.
We have spoken to Elton’s management today and they confirm that Elton has no plans to play in Tenerife this year.”
Booooo!!
However, for very nearly the next best thing, Elton will be playing at Coconut Joe’s and Ye Olde Ocean Bar in Playa de Las Americas in the form of Tenerife Elton tribute Dave Tracey, who according to his own website is “simply mind-blowing.”
Hoorray!!
