Ole Rod Stewart in Tenerife! Whatever next.

By Joe | December 18, 2008

Well, it’s official. I mean officially official. The announcement was made several weeks ago that the oldest mullet in town was heading to Tenerife… but you know how things are on the rock. A ‘definite’ is a maybe, a ‘probable’ is a no chance, and a ‘possible’ is as likely as a gecko being voted mayor of Arona.

So what has made this officially official? GeneralTickets.com sticking tickets up for sale for all to see. No going back now.

There’s a slight change of plans from when Elton came to town (thank f**k). Although the Rocket Man’s value was put at a mimimum ticket price of €35 and maximum of €120, Roderick is priced at €50 for the waifs, €120 for the toffs and €175 for those with more money than sense.

Plus, this time the lower priced tickets don’t allow you to mingle with the ankle-grabbers at the front of stage, fork over the lowest fee this time and you’re bunged at the back, presumably crushed around the portaloos again.

Will they have gates that open on time? Who knows.

Will they have pretty signs pointing people in the right direction? We’ll see.

Will the organisers have learnt anything from the last debacle? Let’s sodding hope so.

Roll on May 16th.
